How does the Commission process work?
STEP 1: CHOOSE SIZE AND MEDIUMCheck out my offered sizes and price list on my website, and depending on the number of pets and your budget, choose your desired size and mediums. Most of the sizes are offered in both coloured pencil and pastel medium. The only exceptions are the XS and XXL size portraits, which are offered only in Coloured pencil and pastel medium, respectively. |
STEP 2: FILL BOOKING FORM/CONTACT MEOnce you know what size you want to book, fill out my commission booking form to book a spot. Or, if you’re still not sure about which size to choose, feel free to contact me via email or social media. I will personally discuss all the details of your commission:

STEP 3: PAY DEPOSIT TO SECURE BOOKINGOnce all the details have been discussed, a 40% booking deposit is required to secure your booking spot. Payment options:

STEP 4: REFERENCE PICTURES AND BLUEPRINT APPROVALThe next step is to send me reference pictures of your pet that I will be using to create the portrait. There are certain things to keep in mind while choosing reference pictures:

STEP 5: WATCH IT COME ALIVEAfter you’ve approved a mock-up, I will start working on your portrait when it's time for your booking on my waitlist. You can follow the progress of your commissioned piece on my social media channels like Facebook and Instagram. I might send you additional progress pictures by email to ensure the details are accurate. Both mediums are difficult to alter once several layers have been put down. It is therefore important to inform me of any changes as soon as possible so that it can be improved in time and the quality of work is preserved. |
STEP 6: MAKE THE REMAINING PAYMENTYou will be informed once the artwork is complete and pictures of the complete portrait will be provided to you for a final look. I will send you an invoice for the remaining 60% payment, which must be paid before shipping. For seller protection, the package will only be shipped once the full amount has been received. |
STEP 7: TRACK THE PACKAGEAs soon as your package is shipped, I will send you the tracking number and website to track it. All my packages are tracked and insured by DHL. If the package is lost, insurance will compensate up to €500. I offer free worldwide shipping, however, for expensive commissions, if you would like to add extra insurance and security for your delivery, please contact me at the time of booking your commission, so that the extra cost can be added. |
STEP 8: UNBOXING, FRAMING AND ARTWORK CAREOnce you receive your package, unbox it to find your commissioned piece wrapped safely, my business cards, a testimonial reminder, and an artwork care guide inside. I suggest getting the artwork framed as soon as possible, especially soft pastel portraits due to their delicate nature. You will find detailed instructions in your artwork care guide. |
STEP 9: WRITE A TESTIMONIALRemember to write a testimonial about your experience and take pictures of your artwork with you and your pets! You can either fill out the Testimonial Submission Form on my website or send the testimonial and pictures to me via email, whichever is easier for you. Your testimonial and pictures (one or more) will be displayed on my website. If you wish to blur out any faces, please let me know. If you're not sure about what to write, check out the existing testimonials on my website to read what other clients wrote. |
STEP 10: SPREAD THE WORDFeel free to give my business cards to people who might be interested. I always pack two business cards, in case you wish to keep one for yourself. Progress pictures sent to you via email are confidential and shall not be shared online. But feel free to share my social media posts wherever you want. Any photographs taken of the final piece after receiving it may be shared online. I hope you find a wonderful place in your home to place the artwork and keep your memories forever! |
